Colorguard and Winterguard

Membership in Bear Flags is open to interested students who do not play in the Marching Band during the fall semester. All guidelines for marching positions apply to the Bear Flags. Students who participate in the colorguard during marching season are expected to participate in the winterguard in the spring. 

The color guard performs with the band at football games, pep rallies, parades and competitions. Students will be given a complete calendar of events.

Students who play instruments may participate in the spring winterguard. Students may not drop their instrumental classes in order to take Bear Flags. In the spring the color guard performs at several area competitions.

Work, homework, babysitting, driver's education classes, or transportation problems are never accepted as excuses for missing a rehearsal or performance.
